News Release: DoE Selects Northwest Team, QualityLogic and Drummond Group for $178M Smart Grid Demo

QualityLogic follows Smart Grid standards work closely and develops and implements comprehensive test solutions based on these emerging standards. QualityLogic is contributing to development of the GWAC Decision Maker’s Checklist.

Pacific Northwest Smart Grid Demonstration Project

We have joined a team of utilities, vendors and research groups that has submitted a five-year, $178 million proposal to the U.S. Department of Energy to build a smart electric grid demonstration system in the Pacific Northwest region. Under the proposal, QualityLogic wrote the interoperability section of the proposal and will partner with Drummond Group to provide interoperability testing for the Pacific Northwest Smart Grid Demonstration Project. Other partners in the proposal include Bonneville Power Administration, IBM Watson Research, PNNL, Areva, Netezza and 12 regional utilities.
