NERC (North American Electric Reliability Corporation) CIP (Critical Infrastructure Protection) 002-009, Cyber Security Standards for the Bulk Power System, are Cyber Security standards addressing "critical cyber assets" associated with critical components of the Bulk Electric System. The standards define preventive measures to protect against cyber vulnerabilities and enforce the security of the bulk electric system.
Each of these CIPs address a specific aspect of cyber security, including critical facility asset and cyber asset identification, physical and electronic access controls, change management, security management, incident response, disaster recovery and training.
